Police in Dungannon are investigating a suspected racially-motivated attack on a flat housing Potruguese nationals in the Co Tyrone town early this morning.
A passing motorist reported seeing bins on fire near flats in Irish Street in the town at around 5am. PSNI officers arrived at the scene and discovered an electricity junction box on fire.
The eight people, including one child, who were in the flats at the time escaped injury.
Police say a racial motive is suspected for the attack.
