Police in Belfast are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a woman during the 11th night celebrations last weekend.
The woman is believed to have met a man at a bonfire on the Beaver Estate in the south of the city and agreed to accompany him to Shawsbridge. The attack is alleged to have taken place between 11.45 p.m. on Friday July 11th and 1.30 a.m. on July 12th.
The suspect is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s with short brown hair. He is of medium build and five foot six to five foot seven in height. He was wearing a pale blue polo-style shirt, jeans, a light-coloured jacket and a gold chain around his neck.
A police spokeswoman said officers were appealing for witnesses particularly a man seen walking his dog in the Shawsbridge area on the night. Witnesses are asked to contact police at Musgrave Street or on the police confidential line (0800 555 111).
