PSNI arrest four over teenager's stabbing

Four men were arrested today by detectives investigating a serious assault on Christmas Eve.

Grant Dugan, 19, and a friend were attacked by a group of men in the Conway Square area of Newtownards, Co Down.

The teenager was stabbed repeatedly with a broken bottle and required brain surgery.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the men were being questioned at Antrim Police Station.

The PSNI issued a fresh appeal for anyone who witnessed the attack, which happened in Meeting House Lane at around 2am on December 24, to come forward.
