About 60 loyalist protesters again gathered outside Our Lady's Church in Harryville, Ballymena, Co Antrim, during Saturday evening Mass. A large force of RUC officers kept the protesters at a distance from Mass goers, but the demonstration was quieter than in previous weeks and there were no serious incidents.
The UUP Mayor of Ballymena, Mr James Currie, along with up to 20 members of the Protestant community, again stood outside the church to show solidarity with the Catholic parishioners.
