A PROSTITUTE thought she was going to be killed after she was abducted and raped on a Wick low mountain, a jury has been told at the Central Criminal Court.
The woman, in her 20s, said she was sexually assaulted by two men and when one of them, started to have sex with her, she claimed to have AIDS and told him to use a condom.
She said she did not consent to what happened as she had agreed only to a sexual act with one of them. She never had full sex with clients because she loved her boys friend too much.
Earlier, prosecution counsel Ms Maureen Clark SC (with Mr Pat O'Connell) told Mr Justice Flood and the jury that the case was an "ugly story involving a sordid aspect of Dublin life we, try to ignore and pretend doesn't exist.
At the time of the alleged incident the complainant was a "junkie" and "she did about two or three tricks a week as a prostitute or a hooker to get money for heroin", counsel said.
Ms Clark was opening the case of a 36 year old man who denies falsely imprisoning the woman and raping and sexually assaulting her on Powerscourt Mountain, Co Wicklow, on the night of December 29th/39th, 1994.
The woman said her boyfriend did not like her working as a prostitute. They argued on December 29th 1994 as he dropped her of near Baggot Street bridge. A car with two men pulled up and she and the driver agreed on £30 for a sex act and she told him she did not do full intercourse.
The woman pointed out the defendant in court as the driver. She said she told him to drive to a car park in Ranelagh and he agreed to drop his brother off first. However, he turned the car the opposite way, pushed his lock button down and drove to the mountains.
The second man was younger and kept calling the driver by, name. The driver told him to call him by another name.
In a boggy mountain area the men undressed her and forced her into a number of sexual acts which lasted for hours. She went along through fear after they told her to stop crying or they would bury her, she said.
They kept calling her "slut" and "tramp" and at one stage the driver said "Look, she is enjoying it".
Afterwards, the men took something out of the boot of the car and she bought it was part of all said this is it. They are going to hit me on the head and Ill never see my kids again she said. However the driver pulled her from the car and drove off.
The trial continues with legal argument today.
