A new project which will focus on the needs of women recovering from depression was officially introduced by the Minister for Equality and Law Reform, Mr Taylor, in Dublin yesterday.
Based at 4 Lower Hatch Street, the Trinity Horizon Project, which is already in operation, is being run by the Centre for Women's Studies, Trinity College, in collaboration with AWARE, a voluntary organisation.
The project's aim is to help trainees acquire the self confidence and skills to enter, or reenter, the workforce and avoid chronic or long term unemployment. Fifteen women are currently being trained, while a further 15 will be taken on at Easter next year.
