A prayer marathon in support of all-party talks will be held in St Anne's Church of Ireland Cathedral in Belfast until the Twelfth of July next year. Announcing their plans, the organisers said that members of both Protestant and Catholic church groups would take part in the event "seven hours a day, seven days a week".
The Rev David Jardine said that people would also be welcome to drop in from the street and join the prayers. It was vital that the public kept faith in the peace process over coming months, he added. "We have got through the summer in a marvellous way that very few people expected we would," he said.
