A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck off the coast of Chile last night at a depth of 25km, the United States Geological Survey said.
The quake, which was originally reported as a magnitude 6.4, struck 97km west of Talca, Chile, the USGS said.
Chile's state emergency agency Onemi said there were no reports of any damage.
"No destructive widespread tsunami threat exists based on historical earthquake and tsunami data," the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said.

Earlier yesterday tremors measuring magnitude 6 and magnitude 5.8 struck 25km northeast of Concepcion, Chile. The larger one was 13km miles deep, the USGS said.
