Postal deliveries are expected to return to normal by today, following the settlement of the dispute at the Dublin Mail Centre on Friday. A peace formula was worked out in late night talks convened by the chief executive of the Labour Relations Commission, Mr Kieran Mulvey.
Under the settlement terms, new supervisory procedures are to be withdrawn, sorters are to be restored to the payroll without loss of earnings and talks on outstanding problems are to resume after a two week "cooling off period".
