A visit by President Clinton to Ireland in advance of the referendums on the Belfast Agreement is "unlikely", the Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, told the Dail.

"My own view is that it is unlikely that the President will visit here before May 22nd, and I am not too sure what would happen after that."
