A total of 12,851 companies were dissolved last year, the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton, revealed. In a written reply to Mr Seamus Hughes (FF, Mayo West) the Minister said the companies concerned had ceased to trade or had failed to file annual returns.
