Police in the North are searching for a teenager who walked into a pub in the centre of Armagh and set it alight last night.
The youth, aged between 15 and 17, entered the Hideaway Bar in the city's Scotch Street clutching a plastic bag.
The bar owner became suspicious and challenged him but the teenager produced a container of petrol and sprinkled it over pub seating.
There was a struggle but the youth managed to set the petrol alight and flee, said a police spokesman. The publican and four customers escaped the building before the blaze took hold, gutting the bar.
The teenager was described as being blond and about six feet tall and wearing army combat style jacket.
Elsewhere, an arson attack on a Catholic primary school in the city was also being investigated by police.
A mobile classroom in the grounds of St Patrick's Primary School on the Loughgall Road was badly damaged in the attack, said police.
