Devon - A police investigation was under way last night into a fifth incident of suspected sabotage of breathing tubes for use in hospital operations.
Yesterday it emerged detectives had been called into the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital after a member of the theatre staff found "foreign bodies" in a oxygen tube. Police are investigating four incidents in which it is has been alleged breathing tubes used in operations were blocked deliberately, but have said they are not presently linking these to the fifth case.
