Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio's stepbrother, also an actor, was arrested in Los Angeles on charges of attempting to murder his girlfriend and held in custody in lieu of $1 million bail, police said yesterday.
Adam Farrar (28), who grew up with DiCaprio in Los Angeles and inspired him to become an actor, was arrested on Wednesday in the seaside community of Marina del Rey, said Sheriff's Deputy Jim Tatreau. He declined to give details of the alleged crime.
Tatreau said Farrar, who mentioned his famous stepbrother to police at the time of his arrest, was being held pending an arraignment on the charges. A spokesman for DiCaprio said he had nothing to say.
