Six police officers, on their way to investigate a head-on road crash in northern Chile that killed 22 people, died when their small aircraft crashed.
Police said the Cessna was carrying officers specialising in investigating traffic accidents.
Earlier a chartered bus taking 40 workers to El Abra copper mine near Calama, 970 miles north of Santiago, collided with a lorry carrying sacks of cement.
Nineteen victims were travelling on the bus. The other three were in the lorry.

Calama Mayor Mr Esteban Velasquez said visibility was good at the time of the collision on a straight stretch of the road.
