London - A Turner Prize-nominated art work featuring a soiled bed surrounded by condoms and dirty knickers prompted an artistic response yesterday when two self-styled "visual artists" staged a near-naked pillow fight on it.
The men's brief performance forced curators at London's Tate Gallery to close the section devoted to Turner Prize nominees while they "restored" Tracey Emin's work, My Bed.
Fine arts graduates Mr Jian Jun Xi (37) and Mr Yuan Cai (43) said their action was an art work in itself, which they named Two Naked Men Jump Into Tracey's Bed.
