A pharmaceutical firm in west Dublin is to create 35 new jobs as part of a €7 million investment to expand its operation.

A pharmaceutical firm in west Dublin is to create 35 new jobs as part of a €7 million investment to expand its operation.

Mulhuddart-based Rottapharm already employs 115 people here in the manufacture of capsule, sachet and tablet forms of the company's glucosamine-based products used to treat inflammation and rheumatism.

The IDA-supported company, which set in Ireland in 1999, plans to extend the range of its manufacturing here as part of the expansion.

Rottapharm is part of the Rottapharm/Madaus group which is based in Italy and employs 2,200 people worldwide with €580 million in revenues last year.
