The chief executive of Renault Ireland and chairman of the Irish Youth Foundation, Bill Cullen, had a more compelling reason than most for urging companies to get involved in the IYF initiative, Companies Caring For Children.
At a launch in Government Buildings with junior minister Chris Flood on Wednesday to raise money for young people in disadvantaged areas, he said: "Fifty-seven years ago I was born in Summerhill. I was one of 14 kids; I was a `Gardiner Street gurrier'. One of the boys I played football with at that time was a young fellow called Tony Felloni. That's why I'm involved."
