Justin Leonard tied the course record with a final-round 61 - but could only watch as Jenny Perry lifted the Bank of America Colonial title at Forth Worth Texas yesterday with a final round of 68 and a total of 19-under-par 261.
Perry matched the Colonial record with a 61 in the third round on Saturday that took him to 17 under and an eight shot lead going into the final round.
Leonard finised second - six shots back - with Jeff Sluman taking third place on 268 after a final round of 65.
Leonard made the perfect start in the final round with an eagle at the first and four birdies took him to the turn in 29.
He was on course for a 59 but bogeyed the last for an inward half of 32.

A final round of 68 gave Des Smyth a share of third place in the Columbus Southern Open at the Ireland Green Golf Club, Columbus yesterday.
Smyth's three round total of 200 left him just two shots off the winner Morris Hatalsky who shot a final round of 67 to win by one from Allen Doyle.
Eamonn Darcy hit the birdie trail yesterday with a final round of five-under-par 65 for a total of 205 and a share of 19th place.
