THE blonde widow of the late Greek prime minister Andreas Papandreou, Dimitra Liani, was named his sole heir and described as his "only great love" in two wills published in the Athens press yesterday.

Papandreou left nothing to his four children, saying in his will that his name was a good enough inheritance.

Liam (41), a glamorous, ex Olympic Airways flight attendant, stole his heart in 1988 while she was serving him drinks on an airliner. Their flaunted extramarital affair shocked the nation. "When I go, Dimitra will certainly be in danger," Papandreou said in his will. "She will be held responsible for many things. So I call on all my friends to protect her by all means.
