PRINCESS DIANA is to appear on the cover of July's Vanity Fair. She posed for photographer Mario Testino and according to Women's Wear Daily wore a white Versace gown.

The July edition of Vanity Fair goes on sale in Britain and the US in mid June before the sale of her gowns, expected to raise millions for her favourite charities.

US television threw its biggest ever coming out party when comedian Ellen DeGeneres's sitcom alter ego, a seemingly asexual bookstore manager named Ellen Morgan, announced "I'm gay".
