Shinichi Suzuki, founder of the "Suzuki Method" of teaching music to infants, has died aged 99. The son of a violin manufacturer, Suzuki achieved world repute for his ideas on teaching music, which he summed up in mottos such as: "A talent is not something given naturally, it is something you foster".
