The man dubbed the "meanest traffic warden in London" by DJ Chris Evans said yesterday the radio and TV star was bullying him.
The parking inspector, who does not wish to be named, was labelled "devilish" by the DJ on Tuesday for putting a £40 fine on Evans's car just minutes after 8.30 a.m., when charges start.
The warden said: "Other people can't exactly use a radio station to get back at anybody, can they? It is obviously Chris's thing for the week. I'm not embarrassed by it."
Martin Scorsese is to chair the jury for the 51st Cannes film festival next May.
Scorsese, who won the Golden Palm award at Cannes in 1976 for Taxi Driver, has competed overall with seven films. He won the best director prize in 1986 for After Hours.

Branson had written to the pop star in November, unhappy at his refusal to allow Candle In The Wind '97 to be included on a tribute album put out by Branson's record label V2. They both went live on yesterday's Chris Evans Breakfast Show, and both described the issue as a "storm in a teacup".
Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump was watched by 15.08 million British viewers on New Year's Day, putting it fourth in that week's television chart, behind EastEnders, Coronation Street and ITV's Heartbeat, which was watched by 15.2 million people.
