What the retiring gardaí will receive.
Supt Joseph Shelly, who is currently based in Mullingar, and Det Supt John McGinley - both of whom were criticised in the second interim report - are to retire from July 31st.
Both are currently being paid salaries of up to €73,300. On their retirement they will each receive a once-off payment of one-and-a-half times this, or €110,000. They will also receive an annual pension of almost €37,000, or half their current annual salaries.
In relation to the Garda investigation into the death of Donegal man Richie Barron, Mr Justice Frederick Morris found that their leadership, and that of other senior officers, of the investigation was "prejudiced, tendentious and utterly negligent in the highest degree".
