The Palestinians have cancelled a security meeting planned for today with former Israeli chief of staff Mr Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, a senior Palestinian official said.
The news came after talks yesterday about peace and security between Israeli and Palestinian negotiators ended with no breakthrough but the two sides agreed to keep talking.
Led by Palestinian president Mr Yasser Arafat and Israeli elder statesman Mr Simon Peres, the two delegations met for nearly three hours late yesterday in Palestinian-run Gaza.
