Palestinian police have arrested a leading militant wanted by Israel.
Mr Ali Saffouri was among six members of the Islamic Jihad held after the raid in the Jenin refugee camp on the West Bank.
Palestinian security officials say he was the second most-wanted man on a list of 33 people whose arrest Israel has demanded for months.
Israel says the Palestinians have arrested only about 10 people on the list, and those detained are not being interrogated.
US envoy Anthony Zinni is to meet Palestinian commanders and then security officials from the two sides, says a Palestinian security official.
He has met Israeli Foreign Ministry Shimon Peres, and appeared to back the Israeli view that even though no Israelis have been killed in Palestinian attacks in three weeks, more remained to be done on the security side.
He said: "It is a long road and a long path. And it has to start with security and it has to start with countering terrorism and it has to start with security co-operation."
