A 56-year-old Palestinian man has died of wounds he sustained earlier this month in the West Bank, during clashes between stone-throwing youths and the Israeli army.

Fathi Jabara died in Nablus hospital.He had been critically wounded on February 11th in clashes in which a boy was also shot dead by Israeli troops.

His death brought to 2,999 the number of people killed since the start of the Palestinian uprising in September 2000, including 2,248 Palestinians and 695 Israelis.
