A 13-year-old Palestinian boy shot by Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip, bled to death as medical help was blocked from reaching him, according to hospital and security sources.
Ezzedine al-Hilou was wounded near the Karni crossing point with Israel on Friday and the army prevented a Palestinian ambulance getting to him, a Palestinian security official told journalists on condition of anonymity.
His body was recovered to1day and taken to the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City where the head of emergency services, Muawiya Abu Hassanin, said the boy had bled to death over "at least five hours".
Two other teenagers wounded in the same incident but further from the Israeli positions, were able to be assisted, the security source said.
