Pakistan has suspended four senior policemen over a security lapse surrounding a grenade attack on a church in the capital, a government spokesman said today.
President Mr Pervez Musharraf decided to suspend Insp Gen of Islamabad police Zahir Ahmed, senior Supt Nasir Khan Durrani, and his deputy, an information ministry spokesman said.
A fourth police officer, in charge of the police station overseeing the diplomatic enclave where the attack occurred, was removed from active duty.
