Islamabad - The Pakistan government yesterday denied Indian accusations that its intelligence service was involved in last week's attack on the Indian parliament.
The government information secretary, Mr Anwar Mahmood, called on India to handle the new tensions between the two rivals in a "dispassionate manner" after the new accusations.
He said that for the moment there were no talks between the two sides to end their latest dispute. India's Defence Minister, Mr George Fernandes, said earlier yesterday that India had "sufficient proof" of the involvement of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Thursday's attack in New Delhi which left 13 dead.
"Pakistan has already been exposed before the world for its policies on cross-border terrorism and the role played by it in Afghanistan," Mr Fernandes said.
Meanwhile four attackers were killed in a shootout when they raided an Indian paramilitary camp in disputed Kashmir, officials said.
