A man (37) and a woman (35) were remanded in continuing custody when they made their second court appearance in relation to the murder of a father of one whose body was found in the river Bandon in Co Cork.

Romanian national Ciprian Grozavu and Catherine O’Connor, originally from Kinsale in Cork, are charged with the murder of Jonathan Duke (27) at Bandon Bridge House, Bandon, Co Cork, on November 13th.

Garda Insp Joe O’Connor said gardaí were seeking a remand in custody for a fortnight for preparation of the book of evidence in the case against the two who both have an address at Bandon Bridge House. They were remanded in custody to December 16th.
