London - A business pressure group wants London's crowded Oxford Street to have pedestrian fast lanes on its footpaths to reduce tensions between locals in a hurry and sauntering tourists.

Under the proposals submitted to Westminster City Council, pedestrians would have to walk at least 5 kph on the fast lane of the pavement, their speed checked by radar, with dawdlers paying £10 fines.
