The Oxegen music festival continues today with performances from Beyonce, Coldplay, The National, Slash and Pendulum.
Headline acts Foo Fighters, Eels and Deadmau5 closed proceedings on a high last night.
Artic Monkeys, Paolo Nutini, Brandon Flowers and Beady Eye, the new vehicle of Oasis man Liam Gallagher, also graced the Punchestown stages yesterday and the weather has been particularly kind to fans visiting the racecourse venue.
The good weather drew tens of thousands of fans out of their tents and into the main arena this evening for sets by Two Door Cinema Club, Professor Green, Plan B and Imelda May.
"What a day," said Johnny Flynn from Belfast. "We couldn't have asked for more."
Two Door Cinema Club pulled in one of the largest crowds and the Co Down band were quick to comment on the good weather at Oxegen, something of a rarity in recent years, after taking the stage.
"What the f**k is going on," asked frontman Alex Trimble. "It's not raining."
The band gave the crowd exactly what they were after and blazed through numbers from their album Tourist History. The single Undercover Martyn , which has featured in a number of television adverts drew one of the loudest cheers of the day, as did Do You Want it All? and Sleep Alone , which Trimble said was likely to feature on the band's next record.
"It's so nice to be back in Ireland playing a show," Trimble said to a warm reception. "You're the most mental f**kers in the world."
Professor Green and his band whipped up a minor frenzy in the Heineken Green Sphere tent with a set which sampled everything from Dr Dre to The Pixies.
The Londoner compelled the audience to bounce, sing and throw their hands in the air, and they duely obliged.
Big Country, The Little Cars, Touchwood and surprise additions Amanda Brunker and DJ Church, aka Irish rugby player Cian Healy, opened yesterday's proceedings but crowds were in short supply at that stage.
Model cum writer Brunker's addition to the bill, replacing the injured Jessie J, raised a few eyebrows. Her performance on the Vodafone stage, the second largest at Oxegen, was short and sweet to say the least.
Accompanied by Gitano, Brunker sang one song, a stripped down cover of U2's With or Without You less the majority of its lyrics. And that was it. "I didn't have the bravery to do anymore," she told the crowd.
A reasonable crowd, some wearing Leinster shirts, gathered to see Healy get things started on the Electric Ballroom stage. He was accompanied by DJ Gordo and played a set which he described as featuring house beats with acapella samples.
Afterwards Healy said he was delighted with the tunout for his set, which he described as "unbelieveable".
Asked if he felt similar nerves getting on stage to taking to the rugby pitch, Healy said neither were an issue for him.
"Pressure is for tyres," he said.
A number of people are arriving at Oxegen today with day tickets. Gardaí have warned those planning to attend to only buy tickets from reputable sources as a number of forged day passes and wristbands have been seized.
