A Dublin horse breeder has been granted a High Court order restraining South Dublin County Council from disposing of three of his horses detained at its Saggart pound. Ms Sean Quinn, counsel for Mr Michael O'Neill, of Clover Hill, Ballyfermot, told Mr Justice Quirke that 10 of her client's horses had been detained while he was in holiday in England and seven were sold. She said the horses had been lawfully detained while wandering but claimed the council had failed to comply with regulations relating to their disposal.
