THE sight of wandering horses in Dublin West amazed not only inner-city Deputies like Jim Mitchell (who told the Dail he thought they had all been released from Braveheart) and Bertie Ahern (who was followed around by one), but the country types out canvassing in the by-election were surprised too.
Remarking on the phenomena, FF Kildare deputy Sean Power said it wasn't stray horses that was the problem in his constituency. His punters complained of slow horses.
