It's a long way from the hills of Brazil to the National Museum, but Angus Mitchell insisted that he'd felt so at home researching his book, The Amazon Journal Of Roger Casement in the museum that he hardly missed his South American home. The book, which both Angus and publisher Antony Far- rell expect to raise a fair bit of controversy, is about the disputed authorship of Casement's "Black Diaries".
On Thursday night, Angus put controversy to one side, as he introduced his mother Susan Mitchell, who, together with Angus's father and Guy Willoughby founded Halo, the anti-landmine charity. Also there on the night was Peter Heslop, the project manager with Halo who shot to media attention when he accompanied Diana, Princess of Wales in Angola; and Chris Moon, who, despite having an arm and a leg blown off on a mission with Halo, is going to take part in the Dublin marathon in aid of Concern.
