US president Barack Obama will make a state visit to Britain in May, British officials said today.
The president, who has been invited to Britain by Queen Elizabeth, will be accompanied by his wife Michelle.
The May 24th-26th trip is the first state visit to Britain by a US president since George W. Bush in November 2003.
