The Public Offices Commission has completed its report to determine whether Fianna Fáil TD Ned O'Keeffe contravened the provisions of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995 (Ethics Act) while Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development.
It had been alleged the former Junior Minister failed to declare his interest in his family's company, Ballylough Milling, during a Dáil debate in November 2000.
It was also alleged Mr O'Keeffe had contravened the Act by failing to disclose the interests of his wife, son and daughter-in-law in the same company.
The report follows the public sitting of the Commission which was held in on 23 November 2001.
As is required by the Ethics Act, the report has been given to Deputy O'Keeffe and to the Dáil Committee on Members' Interests.
