Cork Constitution were in devastating form as they beat Carlow by 61-5 this afternoon. The victory was marred however by a head injury to Ireland outhalf Ronan O'Gara that could rule him out of Eddie O'Sullivan's plans for the crucial Six Nations clash against Wales next week.

The Munster man was taken to hospital for a scan after a clash that may have left him with concussion. The results of the tests are expected later today.

Meanwhile Clontarf maintained their lead at the top with a 32-17 win over fourth placed Buccaneers. Their progress was mirrored however by the chasing duo of Lansdowne and Ballymena.

Lansdowne ran out convincing winners over hapless Terenure by 40 points to 15, while third placed Ballymena were even more ruthless, beating UL Bohemians by 66 points to 12.
