Nurses and midwives resident in the North and South will be able to undertake advanced academic studies under a scholarship scheme launched last night. An Bord Altranais and the National Board for Nursing and Midwifery Health Visiting for Northern Ireland will run the scheme jointly. It aims to encourage nurses to continue education to masters or doctoral level. They should apply to either board for details.
