Adelaide - The brother of an Australian nurse murdered in Saudi Arabia said yesterday he had no intention of meeting a British nurse convicted of the killing.
Mr Frank Gilford dismissed Lucille McLauchlan's public approach for a meeting as a publicity stunt for her recent book about her interrogation, trial and imprisonment in Saudi Arabia.
"She is guilty," he told National Nine television news. "She is out to get publicity for the book she has recently written."
McLauchlan, convicted by a Saudi court of killing Yvonne Gilford, told Australian media yesterday that she wanted to meet her dead colleague's brother who accepted "blood money" which saved her from 500 lashes and jail.
But McLauchlan once described Frank Gilford as a "greedy, selfish bastard" as she awaited his decision whether to waive his right to call for her and fellow British nurse Deborah Parry's beheading by the Saudi authorities for the murder of his sister, Yvonne.
