Northern Ireland have called up Hull City goalkeeper Alan Fettis for the upcoming Euro 2004 qualifiers against Armenia and Greece.

Manager Sammy McIlroy has turned to Fettis (33) as understudy to Fulham's Maik Taylor following the withdrawal of Manchester United 'keeper Roy Carroll.

Fettis, who has not played international football since the 2-2 home draw with Moldova in 1998, joins clubmate Stuart Elliottin the party for the visit to Armenia on March 29th and the home tie with Greece on April 2nd.

But McIlroy's squad has been hit by injuries. Steve Jones, Colin Murdock and Danny Griffin have all withdrawn while Leicester City's Gerry Taggart is unavailable due to club commitments.
