The Fine Gael leader Mr Michael Noonan has called on his supporters to transfer their preferences to Labour and the Green Party in the General Election.
"Fianna Fáil must be prevented from returning to government for the sake of the economy and the health services," he said.
Mr Noonan also argued a Fianna Fáil government would not ensure safety on our streets.
The current administration has "fundamentally altered Irish society for the worst" he said, through right-wing policies which have left huge numbers of people marginalised.
