Relatives of victims of the 1974 Dublin and Monaghan bombings have condemned the British government’s apparent refusal to release papers to an inquiry.

The British government has reportedly refused to release classified documents relating to the three bombings to the inquiry chaired by Mr Justice Henry Barron.

The May 17th, 1974, bombings caused the biggest loss of life on a single day, killing 33 and injuring dozens.

The relatives have called on Mr Justice Barron to publish his report, which is due this autumn. They also called for him to state if he believes the British government have co-operated fully.
