At least nine people have been injured after a bomb exploded outside a club in Karachi.
The bomb, hidden inside a car, detonated outside the city's beachside Mariana Club where hundreds of people were celebrating the New Year.
Pakistani police suspect the car bomb was planted by Islamic militants, though no group has claimed responsibility.
The youth wing of the orthodox Jamaat-e-Islami, or Islamic Party, had warned people against celebrating the New Year.
