Nigeria will play Senegal on October 12th in Dakar in aid of victims of a recent ferry disaster that killed around 1000 people.
"This is our own way of sharing in the grief the disaster has caused the good people of Senegal," said Samuel Kaalu, spokesman for the Nigeria Football Association (NFA).
Reports said students of two football schools owned by former Senegal internationals on their way to a youth tournament are believed to have died in the ferry accident.
Both countries, who featured at the last World Cup, last clashed at the African Nations Cup hosted by Mali early this year with the "Teranga Lions," as Senegal are known, winning 2-1.
Officials said Nigeria have also lined up several other friendly matches, including one against Algeria early next year.
