A long-running battle over the price of electricity in Northern Ireland moved into the Belfast High Court yesterday.
NIE was granted leave to apply for judicial review of a decision which the company believes would have an adverse effect on its transmission and distribution business.
Mr Justice Kerr gave NIE leave to challenge a decision by the director general of Electricity Supply on new price controls. The judge said he would review progress in the case on November 11th when a date would be set for the hearing before the end of the year.
