Pupils across Northern Ireland will receive the first half of their GCSE results today.
Results will be released for nine subjects including English language, geography, business studies, history and science. The rest of the results will be released on Thursday.
The GCSE results follow a record A-level showing last week.
Northern Ireland teenagers outperformed counterparts in England and Wales with the numbers achieving A grades increasing from 24.6 to 28.1 per cent.
