The Sunday Worldhas handed over the remains of papers allegedly burnt by Liam Lawlor to the Flood Tribunal.
Lawyers for the tribunal contacted the paper requesting the documentation which included credit card statements and other personal papers which the paper said were found near Mr Lawlor’s Lucan home.
On Sunday, the paper published creased and burned pages it said were found on the road after they blew off a bonfire at Mr Lawlor’s house, shortly before he went to prison last week.
Journalist Mr Damien Lane handed over the envelope containing 13 documents to the tribunal lawyers this morning.
Yesterday the tribunal took possession of three mobile phones which belonged to the Dublin West TD. They were handed over by the governor of Mountjoy, Mr John Lonergan, who was summonsed to appear at a special sitting of the tribunal.
