Sinead Kane has been 95 per cent visually impaired from birth, yet she has managed so far to obtain a BCL and an LLM from UCC, writes Carol Coulter, Legal Affairs Editor.
Yesterday she qualified as a solicitor and collected her parchment from the Law Society.
“It was very difficult,” she said. “I had to spend extra time reading. In second year I got fed up and my mother brought me over to London to see a judge who’s blind.”
She is hopeful that she will get a job, as she has proved she works that bit harder.
